The Rural Addressing department is responsible for providing and maintaining all Roosevelt County residents with a current physical address which aides emergency responders in all emergency situations. Rural Addressing department maintains all county road signs and creates and prints all county maps. You can purchase these county maps through the Office. Additionally, the department also laminates any document up to 36″ wide for 50 cents per foot.

Statewide Fire Restrictions in Effect
Starting April 6, 2026, fire restrictions are in effect across New Mexico on non-federal, non-tribal, and non-municipal lands. Prohibited activities include smoking, fireworks, campfires, open burning, and gas flaring. Limited exceptions may be approved by the State Forester upon request. These restrictions remain in place until officially lifted.

Restricciones contra incendios vigentes
A partir del 6 de abril de 2026, las restricciones contra incendios están vigentes en todo Nuevo México en tierras no federales, no tribales y no municipales. Se prohíben fumar, los fuegos artificiales, las fogatas, las quemas al aire libre y el venteo de gas.
El Guardabosques Estatal puede aprobar excepciones limitadas mediante solicitud. Estas restricciones permanecerán vigentes hasta que se levanten oficialmente.
