Services available from the Sheriff’s Office
Narcotics Awareness Program – a program designed to educate the public, parents, teachers, and students on illegal drug use, identification of the drugs, its effects on users and penalties.
Adopt-a-Cop Program – a program offered to rural elementary schools in the county. Deputies visit the classrooms and offer safety tips to young people about subjects such as Stranger Danger, School Bus safety, Bicycle safety, and illegal drugs. The children are given coloring books and other items as an educational aid.
Child Identification Program – a program to fingerprint young people and collect samples of DNA, in case the child becomes missing or abducted.
VIN (vehicle identification number) Inspections – A secondary, investigative inspection of vehicles, to confirm identification numbers for registration.
Child Restraining Seats Program – Child seat clinics are available for parents by appointment, on Monday Only. Deputy Rosa is a trained technician and will give instruction on proper use of the child seat, while checking for proper size and condition. Call for an appointment
