PORTALES, NM – Due to inclement weather, Roosevelt County’s non-essential offices will close at 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020. This includes the Roosevelt County Clerk’s Office and early voting. The County will continue to monitor the storm closely and announce any further delays or closures through our local media and also on our website.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow before 3 p.m., turning to snow and sleet with possible accumulation of 2-4 inches. More snow forecasted tonight, which could be heavy at times with accumulation of 3-7 inches possible. The snow and record cold temperatures will continue with treacherous driving conditions. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
