Roosevelt County – Following discussions with the State of New Mexico, 2019 second-half property tax payments will remain as scheduled by state statute. The Treasurer’s Office offers a variety of payment options. Payments must be made by Monday, May 11, 2020. You can submit by mail to 109 W. First Street, Portales, NM 88130 postmarked by May 11, 2020 to avoid any penalties or interest, deposited in our Drop Box, or paid online at www.rooseveltcounty.com (fees apply). The Roosevelt County Treasurer’s Office does accept the postmark as the payment date.
“The County collects and sends taxes to other agencies,” stated County Treasurer Layle Sanchez. “Extending collections could have a direct negative impact on an agency’s ability to operate and its budget. The Treasurer’s Office is ready to assist you.”
