Portales, NM – Roosevelt County is seeking applicants for four vacancies on its Protest Valuation Board. The Protest Valuation Board hear and decide protests of County Assessor determinations. We are seeking applicants willing to serve a two-year term. Per State Statute, the board must consist of one member who is a registered voter in the county, one who is a registered voter and has demonstrated experience in the valuation of property; and one alternate in each of these two categories. Members and alternates for this board cannot hold any public office or be employed by the State, a political subdivision, or school district.

The County will accept letters of interest until March 30, and the Commission will appoint members in April. Letters of interest can be submitted to County Administration at the Roosevelt County Courthouse, 3rd Floor, 109 W. 1st, Portales, NM  88130 or ahamilton@rooseveltcounty.com.
