Due to the snow and difficult driving conditions, Roosevelt County offices will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 24, for nonessential personnel. Essential personnel and employees required to maintain operations during inclement weather will report to work as scheduled. All emergency and first-responder services will remain active as well, but their administrative offices will also close. We continue to monitor the conditions and apologize for any inconvenience as we strive to keep everyone safe.

Roads are reported as snow packed and icy. NMDOT personnel are plowing and salting state roadways. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for New Mexico can be obtained by calling 5-1-1, 1-800-432-4269, or visiting NMRoads – The official road advisory system for the State of New Mexico.
