The Roosevelt County Treasurer’s Office mission is to faithfully execute the duties of the County Treasurer’s Office in compliance with all state statutes and all New Mexico State Taxation and Revenue Department/Property Tax Division rules and regulations.
To provide the taxpayers of Roosevelt County with prompt, professional and courteous service, and answer any questions relating to their property taxes.
To safely deposit all monies and invest idle monies prudently.
To be accountable to taxpayers and other taxing entities in the county.
Just a reminder …
First half property tax due Nov 10 and will be considered delinquent Dec. 10 of each year. Second half taxes are due April 10 and are considered delinquent May 10 of the following year. Taxes may also be paid in full at any time. Approximately 6000 tax bills are mailed by the county treasurer each year. They are mailed no later than November 1 of each year. Delinquency notices are mailed by June 10 of each year on tax bills that are delinquent as of May 10.
