WPA Exhibit coming to Roosevelt County
September 06, 2008
On Friday, September 19, Roosevelt County will begin hosting the Works Projects Administration (WPA) exhibit that has been touring the state for the past year. The “New Deal Public Art on New Mexico’s MainStreets” traveling exhibit is a collection of art projects funded by a program created through Franklin D. Roosevelt’s electoral promise of “a New Deal to aid the forgotten man.” The WPA exhibit will be here from September 19 through November 1.
