The Indigent office provides financial support to the general public for some medical bill expenses to all qualifying residents of Roosevelt County. The Indigent office also assists residents who meet criteria with hospital and ambulance service fees.
Do I qualify for medical assistance?
The criteria to qualify for medical assistance you have to:
- be a resident of Roosevelt County at least 90 days.
- meet income eligiblility criteria (see below).
- file an application with our office within 90 days of the medical service.
The income criteria is as follows based on Yearly Adjusted Gross Income:
- Single: $12,000.
- Married: $14,400 + $1,200 each additional dependent.
- Maximum earnings $19,200.
Steps to Apply for Medical Assistance
- Fill out Indigent Health Care Application.
- Fill out Patient Verification Forms.

Provide documentation to prove indigence.

Proof of Income, residency, doctor referral, if applicable. Proof of income includes current tax return and w-2's, copy of identification and Social Security numbers for all that are in the family, copies of bills: utility, medical, etc.
