Roosevelt County Open Positions

Roosevelt County is proud to partner with Workforce Connection to administer a thorough testing and selection process in its hiring procedures. You will be required to complete several WorkKeys assessments for any open position. Applicants will first need to register as a participant by visiting the Workforce Connection website, at https://www.jobs.state.nm.us/vosnet/Default.aspx, and then contact their local office to schedule a testing time.

Sheriff  Deputy Application

Under limited supervision, perform law enforcement operations in Roosevelt County. Previous law enforcement experience or reserve training preferred. Citizen or legal resident of the United states who has reached twenty-one (21) years of age. Must possess a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. High School diploma or GED required. Bi-lingual preferred. Veterans preferred. Open until filled.

Maintenance Worker – Facilities Maintenance

Under limited supervision by the Maintenance Supervisor,  perform a variety of work as assigned in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, grounds and equipment. Perform related duties as assigned. Demonstrate strong ethical, professional, and service oriented customer service. Able to work varied shifts based on department needs. Previous experience preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Bi-lingual preferred. Veterans preferred. Open until filled.

Detention Officer Application

Under supervision, maintain a healthful and secure environment for the detainees housed in the Roosevelt County Detention Center in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and all applicable laws. Able to work varied shifts based on department needs. Previous experience preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Bi-lingual preferred. Veterans preferred. Open until filled.

ENMU Student Work Study – County Administration

Under supervision, assist County Manager (CM) with all aspects of administrative support.  Provide overall clerical and administrative support to the County Administration.  Duties include providing exceptional customer service, organizing special projects, assist with preparation for Commission Meetings, assisting the administrative staff, transcribing, writing and maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Must be a current ENMU student in good standing with Federal Work Study qualifications. High School diploma or GED required. Bi-lingual preferred. Veterans preferred.
