At Tuesday’s commission meeting, commissioners adopted a Resolution in support of the new Greyhound Stadium which Eastern New Mexico University is proposing, to be constructed on the ENMU campus. The new stadium would be a great benefit not only to the university, but to the community as a whole. The stadium would include a regulation track, which would allow ENMU to host track/cross country events and concerts in addition to football. Added events created by the new venue will have a positive economic impact on the university, Portales, and Roosevelt County. We encourage the ENMU student body to vote for the new stadium.
